I don’t know about you, but I’m loving the styled picnic trend! With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, Picnic + Posies and I got together to create some magic to promote their date night services. We drove out to the beautiful Montana de Oro State Park just outside of San Luis Obispo and settled on little Spooner’s Cove as our location.
Spooner’s Cove is one of my absolute favoriteeeee beaches on the Central Coast of California! If you haven’t been it’s a must see. It’s the absolute perfect location for an intimate and romantic date night while watching the sun set beyond the ocean. But let me warn ya, sometimes those little pebbles can feel like a million little knives digging in your feet. Thank me later after you wear some good shoes!
Our beautifully in-love couple Kiesa and Mason were such a blast to photograph. A little behind the scenes knowledge: Mason poured their first glass of wine in the wrong glass, the pink one! The picnic queens were there to correct us, so we had a good laugh + switched glasses! I love photographing couples on date nights. It’s so out of the norm for us photographers and really allows a deeper connection with your couple. Watching them interact with one another over a glass of wine and charcuterie plate allows for more natural movements, thus a more authentic and candid visual storytelling of their relationship.
I’m definitely adding a picnic date night with my hubby on my 2021 bucket list!
