If you’re looking for an out of the box experience for your engagement session in Colorado, I couldn’t suggest the Paint Mines more! It’s one of my favorite (maybe my absolute fave if we’re being honest) location in Colorado to shoot at!
Haley + John’s Colorado Engagement Session at the Paint Mines
Full disclosure: the Paint Mines are in the absolute middle of nowhere! They’re located outside a very small town called Calhan, about an hour + half / two hours from Denver. Rest assured, the drive is WELL worth it as there’s really nothing like it! I was so excited when Haley and John decided on the Paint Mines as their location for their engagement session.
If you’re new here, we LOVE neutrals at Mae Meadows! Nothing … and I mean absolutely nothing … photographs better than neutrals. I educate my clients very well on what colors to wear for the best look with my warm, filmy editing style. Now just because I suggest neutrals doesn’t mean you can add some pops of color but muted tones are heavily suggested.
Haley took my suggestions + KILLED their outfits! Every engagement session starts off with your more casual outfit first because let’s be real … it can be a little uncomfortable the first 10-ish minutes, especially if you’ve never been in front of the camera before. Opting for your casual outfit first allows you to warm up and let those nerves slip away while your love shines thru!
