Nothing pays off more than a sunrise engagement session in the mountains of Colorado and I think this session in Boulder is one of my favorites to date.
Ally + Grant’s Sunrise Engagement Session Overlooking the Mountains in Boulder, Colorado
I met up with Ally and Grant at Boulder’s iconic Chautauqua Park before heading to my favorite nearby mountain overlook. We opted for a sunrise session over sunset so that we could have a more intimate, quaint space to capture their engagement photos. Our plan did not disappoint. I find myself staring at their images over and over again just in awe of how beautiful they turned out.
The views atop the mountain were absolutely breathtaking with the pink and purple sunrise skies. While editing their images, I wanted to ensure that I kept the beauty of the sunrise as true to color as possible and I’m so in love with the outcome.
Another aspect that played a huge part into their images were their outfits + color scheme. The neutral colors allow the eye to bring focus on their bond but also not take away from the natural colors of the landscape/sunrise.
As much as I love sunset sessions, there’s something about sunrise sessions that are just extra special. I only recommend sunrise sessions when I know for a fact the overall experience will be ten times better for my client than a sunset session. This location is one of those that I highly recommend at sunrise; Ally + Grant will absolutely vouch for that! It was the most perfect early morning with the sweetest couple!
